BPSC has released a notice (about BPSC Mains Pattern Change) in which it has informed about the change in format of questions that are asked in BPSC Mains Examination. The change has been brought in the 67th Mains Optional Papers.

BPSC 67 Mains Pattern Change Optionals

The new format of questions has been brought in the following Optionals:

BPSC Mains Pattern Change Key Changes

The key changes in the aforesaid question paper of the Mains Examination is as follows:

There will be two sections in the question paper:

  • Section I
  • Section II

Section I

  • In Section 1 there will be three questions, namely 1, 2, and 3.
  • Question number 1 will be of short answer question type and will carry 50 marks. The syllabus from where this question is asked will be the whole syllabus of the Section 1.
  • Question Number 2 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section 1.
  • Question Number 3 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section 1.
  • Section 1 consists of a total of 150 marks.

Section II

  • In Section II there will be three questions namely 4, 5 and 6.
  • Question number 4 will be of short answer question type and will carry 50 marks. The syllabus from where this question is asked will be the whole syllabus of the Section 2.
  • Question Number 5 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.
  • Question Number 6 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.

BPSC Mains Pattern Change in Anthropology Optional

In BPSC Mains Optional Paper of Anthropology there are changes slightly different than the above optionals. The changes in Format of Questions in Anthropology optional for BPSC mains is as follows:

There will be following sections:

  • Section I
  • Section II A
  • Section II B
  • Section III

You have to answer either Section II A or II B.

Section I

  • Question number 1 will be of short answer question type and will carry 50 marks. The syllabus from where this question is asked will be the whole syllabus of the Section I.
  • Question Number 2 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section I.

Section II A

  • Question Number 3 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II A.
  • Question Number 4 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II A.

Section II B

  • Question Number 5 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II B.
  • Question Number 6 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II B.

Section III

  • Question number 7 will be of short answer question type and will carry 50 marks. The syllabus from where this question is asked will be the whole syllabus of the Section III.
  • Question Number 8 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section III.

In BPSC Mains Optional Paper of Civil Engineering there are changes slightly different than the above optionals. The changes in Format of Questions in Civil Engineering optional for BPSC mains is as follows:

There will be following sections:

  • Section I
  • Section II

Section I

  • Question number 1 will be of short answer question type and will carry 50 marks. The syllabus from where this question is asked will be the whole syllabus of the Section I.

Two Questions are to be answered, choosing any two parts from Part-A, Part-B and Part-C of Section-I. For Example:

  • Question Number 2 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-A in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section I.
  • Question Number 3 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-B in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section I.
  • Question Number 4 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-C in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section I.

Section II

  • Question number 5 will be of short answer question type and will carry 50 marks. The syllabus from where this question is asked will be the whole syllabus of the Section II. Candidates have to answer from any 2 parts out of 4 parts.

Two Questions are to be answered, choosing any two parts from Part-A, Part-B, Part-C and Part-D of Section-II. For Example:

  • Question Number 6 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-A in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.
  • Question Number 7 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-B in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.
  • Question Number 8 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-C in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.
  • Question Number 9 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-D in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.

In BPSC Mains Optional Paper of Electrical Engineering there are changes slightly different than the above optionals. The changes in Format of Questions in Electrical Engineering optional for BPSC mains is as follows:

There will be following sections:

  • Section I
  • Section II

Section I

  • Question number 1 will be of short answer question type and will carry 50 marks. The syllabus from where this question is asked will be the whole syllabus of the Section I.
  • Question Number 2 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section I.
  • Question Number 3 consists of two questions of descriptive type in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section I.

Section II

  • Question number 4 will be of short answer question type and will carry 50 marks. The syllabus from where this question is asked will be the whole syllabus of the Section II. This question will be mandatory to Answer.
  • Question Number 5 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-A in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.

One Question is to be answered either Part-B or Part -C of Section-II.

  • Question Number 6 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-B in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.
  • Question Number 7 consists of two questions of descriptive type PART-C in which you have to answer one question. The question is of 50 marks. The syllabus from where the question is asked is given to be the syllabus of Section II.
