AQI or Air Quality Index is the measure of the quality of air in the state. It is recorded as per the city of a state. Nowadays, AQI reports hold special place because the quality of the air around us is deteriorating day by day. For the state of Bihar the Air quality has become a cause of concern.
In a recent survey it has been found that few cities of Bihar has came under the severe zone category of the AQI. The severe zone lies between AQI 400 to 500.
Six cities of Bihar came under the severe Zone. These cities are: Begusarai, Siwan, Bettiah, Buxar, Darbhanga, Motihari. The AQI score of the above cities are as under:

The capital city of Patna has AQI of 364 which comes under Very Poor Category. Particulate Matter PM 2.5 level in Patna is 175 and PM 10 Level in Patna is 274.
The CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) has released the data. The severe zone AQI represents air pollution of that level which affects healthy people and seriously impact people with certain ailments.
