Officials from the Florida Lottery reported Wednesday that a Broward County Woman has claimed her reward from a Powerball drawing that took place in October.

At the Lottery's West Palm Beach District Office, Joana, a woman from Coconut Creek, claimed her $1 million reward from the October 10 drawing, media reported

The Power Ball number was not matched by her ticket, although matching all five of the white ball numbers.

Joana bought her winning ticket at Rebel, a store in Hialeah at 7550 Northwest 186th Street.

For selling the winning ticket, the shop will get a $1,000 bonus commission.

According to a press release from the Florida Lottery, since joining POWERBALL in 2009, the game has contributed more than $2.65 billion to education across the state.

Florida is one of the states with the highest POWERBALL sales nationwide.
