A lucky winner in Washington recently hit the $747 million Powerball jackpot, but there's still a chance of the availibility of an even greater winner in California
Three months have passed since officials revealed a Powerball ticket worth $2.04 billion was purchased in an Altadena retail store.
It seems that the winner has not yet claimed the prize
In November, last year the Powerball jackpot reached a record-breaking sum.
It reached this amount following 41 straight drawings in which there was no jackpot winner.
Although it's not apparent if the ticket holder has claimed their rewards, the proprietor of the Altadena convenience shop who sold the winning ticket has already gotten his $1 million prize.
A lottery jackpot winner in California, like the majority of states, has one year to claim their award.
